Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Padesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's younger son, Mark Shankar, sustained burn injuries following a fire incident at his school in Singapore on Tuesday morning, according to an official party statement.
The party confirmed through a post on X that the child suffered injuries to his arms and legs and was also affected by smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Mark Shankar was immediately moved to a nearby hospital where he is under medical care.
Party officials stated that Pawan Kalyan, who is on an official visit to Alluri Sitarama Raju district, has been advised to curtail his engagements and travel to Singapore to be with his son. The leader intends to conclude his scheduled development review meetings before departing from Visakhapatnam.
Born on October 10, 2017, Mark Shankar is currently eight years old and pursuing his education in Singapore. The extent of his injuries is under evaluation by hospital staff, and updates on his condition are expected soon.
